Keith Mason PhD BRCP

1940 – 2009

Announcement - Obituary

Sadly, Keith Mason passed away on July the 29th 2009 and has of course left an enormous hole in the Charity's capacity for helping others.

We would like to acknowledge what Keith has done for the Charity over the past 10 years and it would not be understating matters to say that he was the driving force in its activities for the majority of that time. His unswerving efforts to help others and to further the Charity's name and aims was without equal. A truly wonderful man has been lost.

We'd like to apologise to Keith's wife Chrissie, his family, friends, colleagues and patients for the delay in acknowledging his passing and would like them to know that we intend to continue his example in the future.

The original aims of the Charity – to provide guidance, as well as treatment for those unable to pay – will continue and we are reviewing how we can achieve this.

Below is Keith's updated biography.

Keith started his medical practice in 1970 in Cape Town returning to England in 1980 and continuing his practice at the Institute of Complementary Medicine in London and in Salisbury until his move to the Buckingham Surgery in 1999.

Keith practised privately within a NHS practice at North End Surgery and Complementary Centre Buckingham specialising in parallel systems of medicine in chronic illnesses and cancer in particular.

His 30 years of practice included international lecturing in the USA, Australia, Central America and Europe. He wrote four books on complementary medicine, the current best selling book is entitled 'Thoughts that Harm and Thoughts that Heal' showing cancer patients in particular how the correct attitude of mind is so imporant in the healing process.

Keith passed away on the 29th July 2009 and leaves his wife Chrissie and their two children.

Chrissie has been working in general complementary healthcare for over twenty years and in counselling and visualisation for the last ten years. Chrissie accompanied her husband Keith on lecture tours to America, France, Mexico, Spain, Australia and the U.K. Together they practiced in the United States and Australia using both homeopathy and biochemic medicine in clinical practice along with the psychological and physiological energies of elemental minerals. Chrissie’s use and understanding of energy medicine used to treat the physical, mental and emotional states of patients has led to her further expertise in counselling and visualisation techniques to enhance the efficacy of both orthodox and complementary medical approaches in cancer care.

Chrissie’s work in energy medicine and visualisation techniques have been published recently in her husbands book ‘Thoughts that Harm and Thoughts that Heal’ which includes many of Chrissie’s personal experiences in dealing with cancer patients. Chrissie works in a clinic at Buckingham and will also counsel and assist patients through telephone consultations.
